Research Grants and Awards

Researchers in the Faculty of the VCA&MCM obtain a number of different grants, fellowships and awards to support, and as recognition of, their research and creative practice.

VCA&MCM researchers receive external funding for research projects from prestigious and competitive funding bodies such as the Australian Research Council (ARC) and the Australia Council for the Arts as well as from Federal and State funding bodies and Institutes (VicHealth, DFAT, Council Schemes) and through collaboration with industry and arts organisations (such as the ABC, the MSO, and indigenous community organisations).  Internally within the University VCA&MCM research is supported through competitive funding schemes such as Interdisciplinary Seed Grants, Early Career Research Grants, McKenzie Fellowships and through the Research @ Melbourne Accelerator Program.

The VCA&MCM Research Office offers advice and support to current researchers and graduate researchers wishing to apply for research grants and awards. Research Office staff can assist researchers to identify appropriate schemes, review a draft application, cost a budget and provide advice on technical and eligibility requirements.

If you would like to apply for a research grant or award, please contact Research Coordinator Bianca Durrant in the VCA&MCM Research Office. Current Staff can also find Grants Resources on the Staff Intranet.
