English conductor Gerald Gentry passes away at 86.

The English conductor Gerald Gentry has died in Australia at the age of 86, during his long and celebrated career he conducted the Victorian College of the Arts Orchestra and the Melbourne Conservatorium of Music Orchestra.

His biographer David Barmby published this lovely account of a long and contented life on Slipped Disc.
