Youth Program: VCE Analysis Workshop

Designed for VCE Music Performance students, this 2.5-hour workshop will give students tools and strategies to assist them with the Analysis component of the Unit 4 study design.
Adam Yee will take students through a range of practical strategies for the VCE Music Performance examination section B: listening and analysis. He will present a listening taxonomy that can be applied to almost all musical examples, which the participants will master and apply to a diverse selection of post- 1910 Australian music.
There will also be consideration of the structure of VCE exam questions, including the requirements of the paper, terms and general knowledge, writing style and suggestions for further practice and learning.
