Andrew Quinn is an Australian computer graphics artist and musician now living in Milan, graduating in computer science and mathematics, then in computer animation in the 1980’s. He has worked on digital effects for films such as “The Matrix” and “Tomb Raider”, “Nirvana” and “Vajont”. In the last ten years he has combined his interest in music and digital imagery specialising in realtime sound reactive 3D visuals for contemporary music, interactive visuals for dance productions and virtual sets for opera, performing at the Venice Biennale of Music, San Fedele Auditorium, Musician’s Union and Meyerhold theatres in Moscow, RomaEuropa festival and the Hungarian State Opera. He has taught music students at the Milan Conservatorium, Australian National University and Monash University, also media students at NABA Milan, IUAV Venice, QUASAR rome and recently in Milan, workshops in interactive visuals for adolescents.
